The Training "Advanced Monitoring and Evaluation - Focus on Impact" is specifically organized for grantees within the EU Peacebuilding Initiative and will take place from the 23rd to the 25th of April 2018 at the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea in Jordan.
This training will help the CSOs grant beneficiaries of the EU Peacebuilding Initiative to improve their managerial
capacities, so
that they will be able to design and implement proper monitoring and evaluation
systems and processes and submit quality reports as required by the European
Commission.
The main objective of the
training is to provide the participants with the tools to monitor, evaluate and
report progress, process and impact of their action by introducing methods and
tools, with specific focus on well-designed indicators for peace-building
projects. The structure of the training is divided in 6 parts:
® Part 1: Monitoring: definition, terminology, methodologies, principles, tools
® Part 2: Monitoring: What to monitor? Levels of monitoring, Indicators, Means and sources of Verification, Techniques for collecting information/data
® Part 3: Monitoring: Creating a monitoring plan. Techniques for collecting information/data
® Part 4: Evaluation: definition, terminology, methodologies, principles, tools
® Part 5: Evaluation: Levels of evaluation, internal and external evaluation, techniques for collecting and analysing information/data
® Part 6: Reporting: How and when to report the evaluation findings and impact? Target groups, ways and tools for reporting.
